Performance works

Arrangement (2014)
Running time: 48 minutes | Performers: 6 dancers
Men, masculinity and full-bodied dancing come under inspection in Arrangement, a bold and arresting new work. Performed by six exceptional male dancers, Arrangement is a challenging and refreshing examination of dance’s potential to question who, what and how we may be.

Arrangement

Obverse (2012/14)
Running time: 20 minutes | Performers: 3 dancers
Obverse (2012/14) is a complex, detailed and choreographically intricate trio that challenges its dancers to transform their state of being, from moment to moment, in both body and thinking. Set to a striking music score by BAFTA award winning Kaffe Mattheews, this trio is a compelling response to the idea that meaning in dance is generated by how dance is structured. Obverse pursues formalism in choreography to liberate the poetics and immediacy of dance.

Decommission (2013)
Running time: 15 minutes | Performers: 1 dancer
Moran's self-performed solo, Decommission (2013) is a lively experiment in intimacy and risk.

Installations works

The Body (2013)
Durational installation | Performers: 9 dancers
The Body is a sound and performance installation that draws upon the work of writer Paul Auster. Amidst ten chairs and in counterpoint to a spoken word sound score, nine performers listen, sit and stand, in forming and reforming configurations.

Singular (2011)
Durational installation | Performers: 2 dancers

Highly specific choreographic directives complicate and problematise performers’ subjectivities through their negotiation of conceptual and perceptual puzzles.

‘I enjoy their presence most when I almost miss it, catching an elbow here, a flash of blue there’
Bellyflop magazine
